Hi my Name is
ALABAMA
DOB: April 1, 2006 (approx.)
Gender: Tomboy
Size: Oh........my....gawd...THICK!
My Behavior:
Yet another shelter dog. How could anyone look at her and pass her up? Is she hot or what? So her guardian angel, Ali (one of our former adopters who adopted Jelly Bean) bailed her out and has shown her that hot girls gotta stick together. Alabama is A LOT of fun to hang with and she is a show stopper so any potential adopters must be prepared for the paparazzi. But Alabama can get overwhelmed with too much stimulation, a quieter home would be ideal for our sweet Alabama. She will need to be in an adult home only (not because she's bad with kids) as she just needs structure and patience. Though scary in appearance due to her stocky stature, she is gentle and very sensitive. If you're looking for an well behaved house companion and probably one of the quietest dogs we've ever had, then this gal is the one!
Alabama is very well behaved around dogs in public, however she would prefer to be the only dog in the home.

Help Support one of our DogsWe have so many dogs that could use a little help to not only get them through each day but also help the non-profit keep our doors open. You can either pick one of our PIT PALS or pick a dog from our DOGS FOR ADOPTION. Remember, by doing this, you can come out and visit your sponsored Pit Bull in person and spend the day together. Be that special person in their life and show them that someone cares more about them, than the former owner who dumped them here. Help us, to help them. i love this dog wat do i need to adopt it i would like to have this dog
Alabama is a gorgeous dog. The first step in adoption is completing the online application and submitting it, then someone who handles the placements will review it and let you know what the next steps are. We do adopt out of state, read over the guidelines, we do not adopt out of state if there are other pets in the household. Thanks for the interest, good luck!
Alabama is an adorable dog and of couse i LOVE his name.
since i am from Alabama and a big time ALABAMA football fan
lol i have been looking into adopting a dog from your rescue. I have read guidelines and i have looked over adoptable dogs. I have NO other pets and adore the breed for several reasons. That, i will explain later. You will most likely hear from me the begining of this next year. I will fill out the application.
I appreciate what you all do! It takes Heart to stand up for this breed and i just want to let you know… you are doing what many people wish they had the funds to do and i look up to you for that. Thanks for reading.
Everytime i see this girls face my heart jumps….right now i cant but as soon as NONO is better Alabama will be my four legged daughter we have too many boys around here …GIRL POWER!!!
Good Grief this dog is good looking. I think you should put her on your show. She’d be adopted in a heartbeat. I would adopt her if I wasn’t a 13 year old. I wish I lived in California so my family could adopt her. She’s going to make a family very happy someday. =D
is Alabama still available and if you live in California and have a female puppy would you be able to adopt her

I completed an application for Alabama & even though Im out of state w/a dog, I hope you’ll consider us. Dante (my dog) and I are more than willing to drive to VPC to meet Alabama in person and would jump through any additional “hoops” to be considered. Fingers crossedX
Alabama is the most gorgeous pitbull i have ever seen. It is unfortunate that we live in canada or i would have already applied for her. I’ve never had the pleasure of owning a pitbull but hopefully one day that will change. Thank you villalobos for saving her and all of the other wonderful, misunderstood dogs there. You truly are all angels for what you do and i wish there was more people out there like you.
I have fallen in love with Alabama just by reading her background a d seeing her adorable pictures.! <3 I have noticed that she has been on this website for atleast a year mow, or that's how long I have noticed her. I have owned many pitbulls in the past. But after I graduate, which will be soon I definitely plan on applying to adopt her.!
I have been watching your show since it first aired, and when I found out you guys had a website, I immediately looked at your dogs. I fell head over heels with Alabama because of what you have described her as. It makes me so sad though to see how long she has been on this website and I still see her beautiful face, but now a little older. I currently live in Korea, but every time I think about the future I want, I always look at your website to see if she is still available. I don’t care how old she gets, if I ever come back to the states. I told myself I was going to get her. But of course I would love to see her find a home before I move back
Im 13 and I live all the way in Indiana with a dog and two cats in my home. I was wondering if my family would still be applicable for one of your dogs. We are coming to New Orleans for a visit anyway, next spring and my mom has agreed to the fact that it would be good for us to get a pit bull considering I really want to make a difference in people’s opinion about them. I thought it would be great for our situation to get a dog from you considering that you know your dogs better than most other rescues and would be able to help us make the right decision. I thought a puppy would be best for us so that he could grow up around our other animals and get the proper socialization, hopefully to end up a therapy dog. But an adult dog would work as well, whatever you would think is good for us. We can bring our dog down with us to meet the other dogs. She is a female medium sized mixed breed dog and she gets along with other dogs very well. This will be our first pit bull but I have lots of experience with training them at my local shelter. I think they are a great breed of dog that with proper socialization and mental stimulation can make great dogs for the right people. Any info would be great. I love what you do. Thanks!!

omg this dog is so short stocky strong and good looking
Oh my god is she cute but I don’t think that she would be a good fit for me because I’ve seen Earl work with her and it looks like she is a puller and I can’t handle that. – Emma
