Hi my Name is

I've Been Here Since: 2009-06-01
DOB: May 2003 approx.
Gender: Male
Size: a healthy boy now, about 75 lbs

My Behavior:

Jorge comes to us all the way from North Carolina.  Though dog fighting is wide spread across the country, the midwest and the south are some of the country's worst areas.  Jorge was found along the side of a country road, riddled with wounds and looked like a skeleton draped with brown skin.  It was a miracle that a good samaritan happened to drive that desolate road that day.  The hopeless looking brown dog had been tossed out like garbage and had little life left in his eyes.  After much coordinating from across the country, Jorge's savior made arrangements to have his new friend driven to us.  As you can see by his before and after photos, he's made quite the recovery and is full of energy.  Jorge has become one of our favorites here at Villalobos, he's got such a great happy go lucky attitude it is a pleasure to be around him.

Help Support one of our Dogs

We have so many dogs that could use a little help to not only get them through each day but also help the non-profit keep our doors open. You can either pick one of our PIT PALS or pick a dog from our DOGS FOR ADOPTION. Remember, by doing this, you can come out and visit your sponsored Pit Bull in person and spend the day together. Be that special person in their life and show them that someone cares more about them, than the former owner who dumped them here. Help us, to help them. I absolutely fell in love with this dog the first time i saw the pictures of him. I have a soft spot for jorge because I’m from virginia so i’m from an area where dogfighting is very prevelant. Actually the house I grew up in was literally 5 minutes from Michael vick’s dogfighting house. I have seen firsthand the gore that goes on in those type of places. It sickens me to think that anyone could treat any type of living being like that but it happens none the less. There is nothing one person by themselves can do to stop it but if you’re passionate about these dogs, or any type of dogs then find a group or organization that helps stop it or call the police if you hear about someone behind it…one person alone can’t do it but together we can.

Jorge is a very gentle soul. It’s sad that he was found in the condition he was, but you wouldn’t know it to see him now. He walks well on the leash, but hasn’t had much experience just being a dog yet. He seems confused by the tennis ball, but it’s very cute. Jorge seems to love everyone he meets; adults and children.

I am in love with this dog. If I didn’t already have 2 minpins I would adopt him. I have loved him form the moment I saw his picture. I wish Vialobos would do an event for him like they did with Creature. I don’t know what it is about him. He is a true survivor!!

First I wanna say I that everything you guys are doing is amazing. I wish everybody was caring like this rescue and the wonderful people involved. I grew up having dogs and I’ve always loved pit bulls. They are fun loving dogs but so misunderstood. Thank you for everything you are doing. This loving breed needs guardian angels like the workers at villalobos. I fell in love with a lot of the pits on here(especially this golden beauty Jorge :))but I live on the other side of the usa in PA. So adopting from villalobos is impossible but I’m looking for pits in need around where I live:) again thank you for all your doing

When I saw Jorge he reminded me of the greatest dog my family and I had ever had…Payaso. He passed away about a year ago and has left a void that no words can describe. Jorge had a rough life and he deserves a great home. I know if we had him he would be HOME. Very interested In him and would like to know more about him :o)

Got something to say?
