Hi my Name is

TWINKIE

TWINKIE
I've Been Here Since: 2003-07-29
DOB: (approx) 7/29/01
Gender: Female
Size: perfect lady size

My Behavior:

Twinkie came to us when she was only 4 weeks old. Can you believe someone tossed that little angel on the street at such an innocent age? She was saved by the Glendale Humane Society, where we picked her up from. She was then adopted out by a nice couple. Then the "D" word kicked in. They went thru an ugly divorce and Twinkie lost out. She is soooo silly and playful and still so full of love to give.

Help Support one of our Dogs

We have so many dogs that could use a little help to not only get them through each day but also help the non-profit keep our doors open. You can either pick one of our PIT PALS or pick a dog from our DOGS FOR ADOPTION. Remember, by doing this, you can come out and visit your sponsored Pit Bull in person and spend the day together. Be that special person in their life and show them that someone cares more about them, than the former owner who dumped them here. Help us, to help them. I wish I could take this little girl! She’s perfect! Me and the hubby are stationed out here in hawaii for awhile or else I would fly my butt to california right now we live off post of course because of the stupid no pit bull rule wish I lived back in the mainland she’s so beautiful! I should stare at her perfect little face all day!

  8. sam on November 8th, 2011 10:55 pm

  10. Alyssa on November 14th, 2011 2:18 pm

She is so cute and looks very lovable. I have a pit bull who is great with other dogs and loves the play. I think Twinkle and Bella would make great buddies.

  11. Tamara on November 17th, 2011 4:58 pm

    She’s gorgeous!

  12. chelsea on December 8th, 2011 12:43 am

I love her! She is beautiful. I watch the show all the time and have so much respect for you, your family and team that helps you. I wish i lived closer cause i would adopt her asap! Only problem is i live in ohio and i have a 3year old boxer mix ( loves other dogs and to play) but you dont adopt dogs to people out of state :( i really hope she finds a great family soon!

Twinkie is most definitely a dog I’d love to have. I’m only 18 and I would LOVE to adopt her but I am still living with my parents, have 3 other dogs and I live in Fl…
She’s beautiful and I pray she’s still there when I move out so I CAN adopt her, She IS my dream pit..
P.S Pitbulls are beautiful and so loyal. It’s crazy to think people are so stereo typical about them.

  17. Krista Hernandez on December 13th, 2011 12:07 am

Twinkie would make a great family dog, my 6 year old and I walked her and she just loved her. We sat and cuddled with her and she could give kisses to my daughter all day long!

  18. Ron on December 13th, 2011 3:23 pm

Wow.. she is a doll! I love her… She would be a great friend to my pitt and my rott… Wish I could take on another dog… :)

  19. Karoline on December 16th, 2011 3:55 pm

Absolutely a beautiful dog!! Wished I could get her I’m all the way in Tn.. We just rescued a pit a couple months ago and she is like our 4th child.. Love Love the show by the way.

  25. Kimberly on January 4th, 2012 5:32 pm

We need more places like Villalobos, In alot of states Pit bulls are getting put down because people fear them and assume there all fighting dogs, thanks to Tia and her family dogs like Twinkie will get second chances and will get the best forever homes!

  26. heather ryan on January 7th, 2012 7:51 pm

I love this dog I would lover to know more about her

  27. Kelly on January 15th, 2012 5:47 am

When I saw Twinkie I had to look under my feet to see if my Daisey was still there. Twink and Daisey are identical!!!!! Right down to the wrinkles in her forehead and the inquisitive cock of the head. If Twink is anything like Daisey, she will bring a ton of love into any household!!

  28. Nikki on January 22nd, 2012 1:33 am

Oh do I wish I could adopt her! She deserves a forever home and I will pray she gets it!

  29. Rylee on January 22nd, 2012 7:12 pm

She is the most amazing dog ive ever seen online i wish that i could have her . $

  30. Jennifer on January 29th, 2012 9:18 am

WOW!!!! Twinkie looks/sounds like an absolute perfect dog to add to our family. Only downfall is we live in Minnesota and have a female german shepard/catahoula mix already. :( We are huge dog lovers and my kids adore the dog we already have but are begging for another one……I did see on 2 different pages that you do adopt dogs out of state if there is an existing do in the home, we would just have to bring our dog to your facility prior….now I see under Twinkie’s picture that you do not adopt out dogs if there is a dog that already exists in the home…..very confusing…

  31. Rebecca on February 3rd, 2012 11:07 pm

She is indeed beautiful, and I can’t believe she’s been here for EIGHT YEARS!!!! I really hope someone can drive the extra mile and open their doors. And soon. -Love, a girl with a love for pities but no home for one.

  32. Isabella McDaniel on February 11th, 2012 2:47 pm

you can just look at her sweet little face, and see the love this dog has to give, I hope she finds her forever home! :D

  33. Lindsay on February 12th, 2012 2:33 pm

This pit would be perfect for me i lost my pit last year we use to go running in the morning and i loved her right to her death now im looking for a dog but i live in MAINE!!!! sooo far away i would take her in a heartbeat and she would have a very loving home! tia your my inspiration many do not share the love of my breed like you do ! thank you for everything you do!

  34. Katy on February 26th, 2012 10:47 pm

If Twinkie was about 4 weeks old when she was brought to Villalobos, and her DOB is approximately 7/29/01, then it doesn’t make sense for her to have been with you since 2003-07-29?? That just doesn’t make sense to me… She would have been 2 years old when she came to be with you if you have her birthdate correct.

  35. ben johnson on March 4th, 2012 8:08 am

I’ll raise the girl. Would be perfect for my son and family.

  36. brianna on March 19th, 2012 4:32 pm

i would love this dog, but my mom will not let me have more dogs.

  37. Katrina on August 3rd, 2012 3:00 pm

Awww poor girl! Already 10 yrs with you and still hasn’t been adopted?! Send her to me to Germany, I would LOVE to have her around! What has she done wrong? She’s gorgeous!

  38. Chyann Odum on November 19th, 2012 6:59 pm

I love this dog she is so BEAUTIFUL.. Every dog needs to have a home hope someone adopts this beautiful and gorgeous dog… She needs a loving family.. wish i could adopt but i cant hope she finds a home.

  39. nicole on December 1st, 2012 7:04 pm

i am in love with her!!! she just might b the one for us! we need a new one!! i grew up with pit bulls!!! they are my life and my pashon!!!!!

  40. Katie on December 4th, 2012 3:34 pm

Wow, Twinkie is basically my dream dog! Unfortunately, I’m only 12 (ugh if only I wasn’t) and my dad hates pits and my mom is afraid of them. I’m not sure what happened with me, because I would trust a pitbull with my life simply because they are so loyal, kid hearted and strong. Even if my parents liked pits, we still wouldn’t be able to adopt (most dogs, anyway) because we have a 2 year old Labrador retriever, a cat, and I have two little sisters, a four year old and a nine year old. Oh, and we live in New York, on Long Island. Don’t worry Villalobos, if Twinkie, Krunch, or any of Blackie and Brownie’s puppies are still around when I’m old enough to adopt, hopefully I’ll have what it takes to adopt one! Until then, keep up the great work! I love you guys!

  41. Katie on December 4th, 2012 3:37 pm

Wow, I read that whole thing over, and yet somehow I said pitbulls are kid hearted. Whoops! I meant “kindhearted”!

  42. Rachael Greene on November 7th, 2013 1:13 pm

If I didn’t have 6 dogs already I would defiantly be adopting her.

  43. Ashley on November 10th, 2013 3:30 am

She’s absolutely beautiful!<3(= I would realllllllly love to own this dog very much so, but she's very old, and I don't think she would still be alive by the time my girlfriend and I got a house together. Haha. I hope so though.

  44. Rose McArthur on November 24th, 2013 10:06 am

Only dog, or can there be another one in the house?

Got something to say?
