Hi my Name is

DEBBIE

I'm Adopted

Debbie along with her two puppies were found in one of the most deplorable conditions in an abandoned house, we've ever encountered.  Living in feces and trash and left by her owners locked inside with no food or water, she still had an uplifting attitude and was so grateful for the help that we gave her and her two pups.

Debbie is a high spirited dog and bears a 24/7 smile.  She is EXTREMELY friendly with everyone she meets….on two legs.  However, she is hyper sensitive to certain situations (other dogs, cats etc) She is the PERFECT house dog, but has a tendency to get very over stimulated, if introduced correctly she gets along with other dogs but seeing a random dog on the street is hard for her…she has been through training which has helped TREMENDOUSLY..but it is something that will have to be kept up for life…she is VERY smart, willing to please and a quick learner ….But it's her outgoing personality and silliness that infects your heart. Still practically a puppy herself, Debbie will need an active owner, a fun owner and well basically…..girls just wanna have fun!

LATEST UPDATE:  Yes Debbie was on one of our latest episodes showing as finally getting her forever home.  Sadly within a week, she was returned by the adopter claiming he got "nervous" because she "barked" at some kids as he walked Debbie on leash. *sigh* Debbie gets so excited to see anyone and everyone which explains this behavior. So little Miss Debbie is back with us wondering "what happened" and missing sleeping in that beautiful condo and sleeping on a fuzzy carpet for the first time in her life.  So Debbie needs rescuing again and hopefully this time…it will be forever.

Help Support one of our Dogs

We have so many dogs that could use a little help to not only get them through each day but also help the non-profit keep our doors open. You can either pick one of our PIT PALS or pick a dog from our DOGS FOR ADOPTION. Remember, by doing this, you can come out and visit your sponsored Pit Bull in person and spend the day together. Be that special person in their life and show them that someone cares more about them, than the former owner who dumped them here. Help us, to help them. I would LOVE this dog… My living situation prevents me from adopting her at this point in time, however if she’s still there after I graduate college (in May) and get in a larger home with a yard I’ll most definately be making a trip to Villalobos to see about adopting her. I have a pitbull right now, but she’s really old and sadly could go at any time :’(, I’ll need a new bombshell girl to keep my busy.

Sitting here now with my friend who is need of help. She runs a pit bull rescue out of her home. We are watching this show right now about Debbie and her puppies and that is awful how can anyone be so cruel to an animal! It is just unreal…

  7. Jodi on December 18th, 2011 2:05 am

Debbie looks just like my sassy. No joke they could be twins. Sassy is having liver failure due to heartworm treatment and I’m praying she pulls thru. And since she hasn’t lost her loving personality, I believe she will be with me for many years to come. Thank God!! I know I wouldnt be able to adopt debbie since she doesn’t get along with other dogs, but I would love to bring home one of her puppies, I know sassy would love it too. just saying.

  8. Alaysia on December 18th, 2011 6:39 pm

Are her two puppies up for adoption too ?

  9. DeAnna King on December 19th, 2011 4:56 am

i watch your show while im at work and i must say each week you touch my heart even deeper! if it werent for you and your rescue center what would have happened to debbie and her puppies and all three of those dogs were beautiful and all of them were deserving of an incredible home filled with love. why on earth would someone leave an animal locked in a house much less one with puppies it just makes me sick to know there are ppl out there that are heartless. my 17 month old pitbull is the son i didnt have he has been sleeping with my daughter since she was a month old they are a month apart him being older and he is the most fun loving dog anyone could ask for! pitt bulls really are amazing its all in how you raise them and tia you and your crew do one hell of a job if i didnt live all the way in maryland id want to adopt one of your pittbulls!

  10. lisa on December 19th, 2011 8:31 am

She’s stunning. Wondering tho…when a dog has all these labels attached(not good with kids, cats, etc)is that the way it is or can a dog be worked with & retrained to accept what he/she has issues with? Just wondering.

Hi Tia i want to comend you for having the heart and soul thats in you to be doing what you do for these misunderstood bundles of joy you are truely an angel sent from heaven to help and give these dogs as well as the guys a 2nd chance at life and love.I grew up in Baltimore,Md. in the inner city and i was raised around dogs all my life.I got my first pitbull when i was 13.I use to see these dogs in the news getting a bad rap so i wanted to help change that simply because my father (R.I.P.)told and show me that you can teach a dog to do anything if you are deticated, and you can teach and old dog new tricks.Living in the hood you see alot of things good and bad.I saw people abusing these dogs now in person and i new at that moment i was going to be their angel or should i say ram in the bush.I saw older guys ready to kill these sweet happy tail smiling young and older dogs.I ASKED THEM PLEASE let me take him away for you,i was trying to be as humble as i could because some of these guys would have guns on them ready to kill real thugs this was not the news or t.v. at all this was real but i talked them in to giving them to me.Thats when i built and constucted my own kennel with scrap wood, nails, fencing, etc. After a few years i was known as the lilttle red boy that would take in all of these thugs throw aways. They found out that some of the really half dead animals they gave me were super healthy and doing fine and i got those dogs to the point that they were now in good homes.I would investigate you before anyone could recieve a dog from me.I was young but I DID NOT PLAY. AT one time i remember having 20 dogs at one time and i worked hard for them to be healthy, happy and to be in the best shape ever and to make shore they would never have to fight again. I was and still am very athletic and i wanted my dogs to be that way too.I worked at afew kennels growing up and found that most of them would discriminate against them,so i just worked at my own.Until a few years later i got married moved to florida and i got a job at HOLLYWOOD ANIMAL HOSPITAL where DR. JAMES DEE and staff were in love with all animals and most of all pitbulls. I felt right at home. ALSO i worked for BARK AVE. PET RESORT with FRANKI FUCCI, TIA she reminds me of you so much she would take in any animal for boarding and day care but pits could not go to day care.I felt like they were lock up and could not play in the yard, lol. So i talked to FRANKI and got her to let me let some of them in play, after educating her on me and my relationship with the breed she not only started leting them in the play groups with the other day care guess, she told me i was like ZIN with this breed, and that helped to make her PAUL(they both were thee owners of thee business)MORE MONEY! And that in it self help get me known around florida as the pit boss man .this was way before hearing about the lil pit bossman we know today . they called me SNOOP DOGG THE PITBULL TRAINER.That got me a chance to be a part of…MIAMI CORLISION AGAINST BREED SPACIFIC LEGISLATION. Well my marriage ended after 15 years i got laid off i tried to find love again it did not work either and the only love i know thats unconditional in the love that i recieve from my four legged buddies.I lost my father, grandmother grandfather, adopted brother and about 10 close friends.I still have my mother and my brother and a beautifull daughter and my life health and strength so im thankful,i have some much love to give and i would want nothing else in the world if i could be around the love that you TIA and your family and the dogs give out each day to me already.I have alot of ideas, and love to share and would love to be a part of your family/team.I find myself crying with you guys when you all cry even if its a repeat show.My mom calls me her rednose pit and i feel lost TIA CAN YOU RESCUE ME??!! Besides Armondo needs some perminate help.lol. GOD BLESS

  18. Sami on December 19th, 2011 5:13 pm

  23. Vinesse on December 19th, 2011 11:09 pm

She looks so much like my Blue, Pele’, (after the Volcano Goddess). She too does not like cats or some dogs. So pretty.
The only difference between Pele and Debby is Pele’ is afraid of her own shadow. My heart just aches to read the deplorable conditions that some of these animals have had to endure and STILL they come out the other end grateful, and loving.
Yep, they are truly MEAN, FUROCIOUS, “NOT”.
Everyone at Villa is doing a fantatic job. Way to go.

  24. Joy on December 20th, 2011 1:38 am

It really pisses me off how people treat their dogs. About a month ago the people that lived next door got kicked out of their house because the landlord lost the house for not paying his taxes and they just left their dog inside the home and locked in a cage with no food or water. It had been like 10 days when I found out that the dog (Crystal) was still in the house so me and a friend climbed through the window and got her out. It was the most disgusting things I have ever seen. She is I think 1/2 pit and 1/2 boxer but has the most beautiful markings I have ever seen on a dog. I found her a home, I thought, they brought her back because they didnt have the patience it took for an abused dog. Yesterday I found her another home with someone I know has the patience and love that she needs. If she would have gotten along with my pits (Itty-Bitty and Tootsie Roll) I would have kept her myself. But she is now in a good home where she wont be abused anymore.

In answer to Col. P. Elder–your story is amazing and you are amazing–you are your own person and you have and are working with what are your strong points, your strength and your kindness and your love of pits. What a pity that you have had sad losses in recent years but I hope that you are still working hard with dogs at your job. It would be a tremendous loss to animals if you had to work in another field. I truly hope that someone will appreciate you and will help you find a good place to work. There are so many shelters that need someone with your experience–the shelter is Miami gets so many pits and it doesn’t appear to be able to keep them or get them adopted–are you near there. I wish there was something I could do to help you in some way and I do hope that Tia might be able to steer you in a good direction so that your kindness and huge efforts on behalf of the breed will allow you to continue to do what you are so good at and is so meaningful to you.

  36. Melanie on January 11th, 2012 2:45 pm

I actually seen this episode, made me cry! You and your daughters are so awesome, and I love this show! Debbie should have no problem getting adopted, she is beautiful! If I never live all the way in Hawaii, I would love to have her!

  37. Yvonne on January 13th, 2012 5:32 pm

Hi Tia, I was watching the show when you got beautiful Debbie, her pups and the kittens as I always do with my Pit bull Prada and her cousin Goldie(Pit mix) they hate when I watch your show because I always cry and they don’t like me upset because I cry really hard for Pit Bulls. I’m from Philly but I currently live in Maryland and Philly has a huge dog fighting problem which spirited the PA SPCA to have a show called Philly Undercover and they are after dog fighting rings and other animal abuse. I wish you were closer so that you could get all the dogs that they save and I know you would get allot of volunteers and contributions for your help because we are sick of our dogs being abused. Debbie is absolutely beautiful girl and hope she finds a loving home. My girls are over protective of me and Goldie my pit mix is really aggressive toward men and female dogs, even though I have Prada I have to keep an eye on them because I got Prada from my brother when she was almost two and Goldie is my big baby of 5yr and she was not happy when Prada came home with us. I wish you and the crew all the best and I hope both of your locations are working out and hope to continue to see your show on TV. I am a true true fan of you and your family.

Hi there, im from montreal in canada .ive got this lovely female pittbull named goldy .she’s about 2 1/2 now.pick her up in a alley of the city. She was almost 4 months hungry, left alone in what appeared a crack house.I checked around asking where she was from and then from nowhere a guy comes out and says this dog has been there since and no one taking care of her.Told me take her for the night….lol well since then she has been a part of my home ! Take care of your dog he will take care of you ..but always remember that a dog is a dog.people have a tendencies of trying to make them human…their brains doesnt work that way.. with love and authority their the best buddies ever :) just wanted to share my love storie :) keep up the good work for those who cant ;)

  46. Emmanuel on February 13th, 2012 3:41 pm

    Hello Tia and crew,
On Saturday 2/11/12, I woke up, idly flipped thru the channels and came to Animal Planet and the show on you and your rescue mission. From 9am till 10pm when the episode ended with you having to relocate, I was captivated by the stories of all the rescues, including the Mastiff Alexandria, the wedding, the guys who went off to work in the restaurant and the mechanics shop.
Very few things have ever held me captive that long. I just wanted to say Thank you to you for all you and your crew are doing. You will be in my prayers, and when I am able to, I’ll surely send in my donation.
    More grease to your elbows.

Im so sad to think that person would not give Debbie a chance. In my eyes he did not deserve her. She needs to find a home that is as strong and as loving as her. I am from New jersey and if it was possible i would adopt her in a heart beat. I would love her to no end. Sad that people dont really take blame for theyre actions.

  61. Cherie on December 1st, 2012 9:13 pm

Unfortunately my boyfriend and I know the scum that pretended he wanted to adopt Debbie. Sadly it more than likely was a ploy for him to get free television exposure. What a douch!

  62. Krisztina on December 2nd, 2012 1:45 am

I just saw the episode when she was adopted and i was shocked to see that she was returned after a week! No offence, but that is what dogs do BARK that is how they communicate! And after a week? Common! He should of give her at least a little more time to get used to everything after everythin she been trough! It’s called being patient!
Well he did’nt deserve to have her and i hope she will have a better luck next time!

Just watched the episode tonight where Debbie was adopted. So sad it didn’t work out but hopefully she’ll find her furever home soon. Bless you for all you do for dogs (and for people). Love the show!

She is such an u’i dog! Sad to see that she got returned. We have a bit bill here and she’s a joy. They truly are the most misunderstood breed but only if people gave these dogs a chance they would truly see how wonderful it is to have these pitbulls breeds around. Debbie is beyond beautiful and I hope one day she finds a loving home. I would love to adopt her but we live all the way in HI (where the twins are from [Kanani&Mo]) I envy you Tia for all your hard work that you do and I appreciate all you do for each and every single one of these dogs. God bless your soul and may he keep helping you and our family/team along the way. He truly wouldn’t let you go thru something if he thought you wouldn’t be able to handle it. Keep being angles in this world to these loving dogs! You all are truly God sent!

That’s so sad to hear about the owner bringing Debbie back. She’s such a beautiful dog. I wish that I could take her. I would love a chance to change her life, however I already have a dog and it would be difficult for them to live together. Perhaps one day, when I get my forever home, I’ll make a trip out there to try and find my forever friend.
