Hi my Name is

JASPER

JASPER
I've Been Here Since: 2008-11-01
DOB: January 2007
Gender: Male
Size: 40lbs approx

My Behavior:

This fluffy little lion lookalike is an obvious Chow Chow mix.  Jasper is such a loving little guy and is fully of energy.  He lives for walks but also enjoys laying around his kingdom aka your livingroom.   Dumped at a local shelter by his owner, they just couldn't appreciate the history of this breed as it was treated as royalty in the country of China.  Poor Jasper doesn't feel that way now. He needs a real palace of his own and a place where someone recognizes what a special emperor he truly is.

Help Support one of our Dogs

We have so many dogs that could use a little help to not only get them through each day but also help the non-profit keep our doors open. You can either pick one of our PIT PALS or pick a dog from our DOGS FOR ADOPTION. Remember, by doing this, you can come out and visit your sponsored Pit Bull in person and spend the day together. Be that special person in their life and show them that someone cares more about them, than the former owner who dumped them here. Help us, to help them. Handsome boy! He does look like he could be part Eurasier, but more than likely, considering how rare that breed is in the US, he’s a Chow something mix. Definitely my kind of dog though (except for the not good with cats part). All my dogs are chow mixes, and one is in fact, a Eurasier (CKC registered, bred in Canada).

    Jasper is cute!
He looks EXACTLY like our male, chow mix we adopted in February, (they could be brothers & we’re here in OH).
Our rescued chow learned to tolerate/get along w/cats and play with our other dog, (another chow/retriever mix).
I’m betting Jasper could too w/training. We trained all of our dogs that cats are part of the family. It takes time but they learn.
Good luck finding Jasper a home, he deserves it!

Also, wanted to add that the Chow mixes we had are great w/our kids and their friends.
Hope Jasper gets a home and bravo to Tia and the crew at Villalobos, you guys do great, humane rescue work!

He looks like he has a lot of chow in him. When i was growing up my mom had a chow german shepered mix. I wish i could get him but i can’t. I hope he gets the right home. TAke care
