PUPPIES and MORE PUPPIES
We have piles and piles of puppies! Twenty to be exact. And how funny is it (not haha funny but *ugh* funny) that last year at this time we also had twenty puppies!! THE DOGS OF MERIDIAN, MS
In the midst of celebrating Mardi Gras, we received word of a horrible abuse/neglect case of many dogs, near Meridian, MS. At first we told the caller that we were so overloaded we just couldn’t take on anymore dogs, let alone several dogs. Then a few more days passed and we heard from the local women who were trying to help, that 5 dogs had died from starvation and/or from being in mud up to their bellies and freezing... Read more...

COMING IN 2013 … SERVICE DOG PROGRAM
We have several new programs coming in January. I have to admit, they’re pretty awesome. Our first one is our new service dog training program. We will be picking a selected group of our dogs and putting them thru their paces to become service dogs which will in turn be offered up for adoption to those in need. Boss Wins First Place in Fuzzy Nation / Petfinder Foundation Contest
CELEBRATING NEW ORLEANS STYLE – On Halloween we celebrated our official announcement about our former dog, Boss, winning first place in the Fuzzy Nation Super Model Photo Contest (sponsored by the Petfinder Foundation).
