Hi my Name is
JOSHUA
DOB: October 2003 approx.
Gender:
Size: he's a big one, about 75 lbs.
My Behavior:
Yet another Katrina dog that went un-noticed. Joshua was found after the hurricane disaster, hiding under a house with a big chain and padlock around his neck. Such a common scenario for a Louisiana dog. Most of them were found with chains dragging from their necks. Josh managed to find refuge under a house. Though it's been years after this horrible event, Josh still bears the emotional scars of what he went thru. He is still very shaken up and gets spooked easily. He will need someone with patience and understanding. He is a big Pit mix so he will also need someone who can work with him physically until he reaches his training potential but course Villalobos offers lifetime training so he is always welcome here to learn. This big gentle giant is so desperate to have a quiet and secure place to live out the rest of his life.
Joshua would make a great watch dog, but he needs a soft warm bed to sleep in as under that 'guard dog' exterior is quite the softy.

Joshua reminds me of my own dog Capone. Capone himself also spooks easy. I saw that no one had left any comments on his page therefore I decided to sponser him. I would love to make a trip out there sometime next year to visit.
I would love to sponsor Joshua. He’s a cutie, and I am not in a position to adopt a pit I would love to help any way I can!
I love him…..just signed up to sponsor him!!!!
i went on the website to adopt a dog but since i have three dogs a one cat so i guess this won’t work out for me and my family so i did the next best thing i sponsored this beautiful dog thank you and your team for all the work you do there is a special place for people like you in heaven god bless all of you
I saw this cute boy ad then I saw the name. My little brother whom passed away in 1997 had the same name. I can’t pass up helping out this beautiful dog and wish I could adopt him now. Until I get into a house and out of my apartment I won’t be able to do so! I ope someone can give him a loving home with the one-on-one attention he deserves. Thanks to this amazing rescue for saving so many wonderful dogs.
In December, I signed up to sponsor Joshua (as a Christmas gift for a friend). I have a pit mix that spooks easily and a border/aussie that is a Katrina rescue, so Joshua really caught my attention.
I hope they spoil you and don’t forget to make sure the guys stay in line! =P
<3 ya.
Sponsoring this baby!!! I love him already. Hope to someday visit him and love on him in person.
Hi Tia and family, if you all are ever in Connecticut, you are welcome to come hang out at my home. I can introduce you to all of my Pitts. I have Niko 15, Susia 7, Peanut 6 and Cochina 2. I rescued them all myself and put myself in danger by doing so but I now know they are safe now and they never have to worry about being mistreated or abandoned ever again. My neighbors give me a hard way to go about my 4 pitts but my pitts come first. I walk all of them myself once in the morning and once in the evening every day regardless of the weather, I am a single mom and I run my own business. It is a lot of work but at the end of the day and early in the morning when I get my cuddle time with each of my pitts, it makes it all worth while. Tia I so hope and wish that one day, like you say, we won’t have to rescue pitts anymore. Take care Tia and may God give us and all that do what we do for pitts, the strength to keep keepin on. LUV YA SISTA!!!!!!!!!!
This boy is beautiful!!! I will sponser him and maybe 1 day get a chance to meet him and give him love!!!
I have been a fan of the show for a bit and a fan of pit bulls since I was a kid. I no longer own any dogs due to military restrictions and a husband who has yet to be won over by the love of mans best friend. I currently own a cat. But someday hope to adopt a pit bull of my own. When I saw Joshua and read his bio, i felt a immediate connection. I am a Army veteran with PTSD from 2 Iraq deployments and I too scare easily. I believe animals can develop PTSD as well. He reminds me of one of my older stepbrother’s pit bulls who i loved, but escaped years ago and was snatched for illegal underground dog fighting in LA. The least i can do for this handsome boy is sponsor him and pray he finds a loving home soon.
